In New York, angry crowds - some carrying signs with messages such as "Not my president" - marched to the President-elect's doorstep, Trump Tower, where he lives and works. In Portland , police used tear gas and flash-bang grenades Friday to try to disperse the crowd after hundreds of people marched through the city, disrupting traffic and spray-painting graffiti. The Ministry for Justice, which is leading the crackdown on whiplash claims, says that despite the United Kingdom having some of the safest roads in Europe, the number of whiplash claims have risen by 50% in recent years. Compensation would only be paid if a medical report is provided as proof of injury. Insurers have promised to put the cash saved back in the pockets of the country's drivers. (more...)

His manner of death is homicide. Balderrama said the victim, Michael Winchester, a longtime Southwest Airlines employee, was not Buie's immediate supervisor. Paco Balderrama identified the shooter as Lloyd Dean Buie, of Oklahoma City . Detectives say they were able to determine that the alleged suspect, Buie, was a former Southwest Airlines employee who resigned from his job in April of 2015. (more...)
