OPEC is going to review the long-term strategy at the meeting on November 30. The monthly market report noted crude oil futures increased as traders reacted to a production ceiling offered by OPEC members in Algeria. Without action on production, OPEC said to expect a market that still favors the supply side next year. According to the IEA,"OPEC must agree to significant cuts in [its November 30 meeting] in Vienna to turn its Algiers commitment [to cut supplies] into reality". (more...)

Oil prices reversed some early losses to push higher on Thursday as markets recovered from their initial shock at US President-elect Donald Trump's surprise victory, although traders said that crude fundamentals remained weak. "It was also informed that any non-compliance would be dealt by RBI and (the) bank very seriously", read the note sent to the bank branches. The ATM machines need to be reconfigured to dispense the new higher denomination notes due to their size being different from the phased-out currency. (more...)
