Most of the issue arose over a practice called "negative option billing", where Comcast would begin charging customers if they didn't actively decline or cancel a service. According to Sena Fitzmaurice, Comcast's vice president of government communications, the cable provider already began implementing several of those changes before the FCC launched its investigation nearly two years ago. Samsung says global sales of its Galaxy Note 7 are to be halted following reports of handsets that were issued as safe replacements catching fire. "Consumers with an original Galaxy Note7 or replacement Galaxy Note7 should power down and take advantage of the remedies available, including a refund at their place of purchase", reads a statement from a Samsung representative. Samsung said that it is working with the authorities to investigate recent cases involving the Galaxy Note 7. The alert comes one month after the recall of more than 50,000 phones in Australia.
