NSW Premier Mike Baird is preparing to reverse a planned ban on greyhound racing in NSW. The government also faces a significant swing against it at the November 12 byelection in Orange, where the ban has been poorly received. Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald said he stood by the government's original plan to ban racing.
