Oil prices declined as the U.S. rig count has risen for 11 of the last 12 weeks. Total oil and gas rigs in the US rose 11 to 522. The nation's gas-rig count rose by four to 96 in the past week. Following the EIA's report on Tuesday which reported yet another draw week, West Texas Intermediate traded at $45.23 a barrel while Brent traded at $46.89. (more...)

One little panda worked the camera during a photo-op with its irresistibly cute yawn. But in cool fashion, the little black and white fella styled it out like nothing had happened. No worries, though! The panda was perfectly fine. A caretaker was able to quickly rescue it and bring him back on the platform. Single-occupancy restrooms in California are now gender-neutral, thanks to a new bill signed by Governor Jerry Brown , The Los Angeles Times reports . Opponents said in December that they had failed to collect enough signatures to advance a proposed ballot measure that would have asked voters to require transgender people to use the public restrooms that correspond with their biological sex. Brent crude, the worldwide benchmark, remained at $49.81 a barrel in London. NXP Semiconductors's shares jumped 17% on Thursday and are trading up nearly 7% today, bringing its market cap to $41 billion.
