Frenchman Alexander Levy set a course record and opened up a six-shot lead before fading light shortened the second round of the European Open on Friday. That is what I did today and now it's really nice. Former European number one Karlsson is threatening the magic number of 59, albeit with preferred lies, as he is nine-under for his round with three holes to go at the par-71 course. (more...)

Fortunately, Tesla cars can receive firmware updates remotely and Tesla auto owners are advised to make sure that their vehicles are always running the latest software version. This feature works on its own by venting the cabin and turning on the AC whenever it detects temperature exceeds beyond 40C. Meanwhile the dollar was lower against the euro, at $1.1208, even though the Fed made clear that, while if it was not raising interest rates this week, it was likely to do so in December. All 30 of the its components were higher. The Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 44 points, or 0.8%, to settle at 5,340 for a new all-time closing high. (more...)

In Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal issued an executive order Monday aimed at preventing price gouging. Colonial Pipeline said supply disruptions would be felt first in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and SC. The damaged pipeline, known as Line 1, transports about 1.3 million barrels of oil per day to states along the east coast, including North Carolina. (more...)

Oil prices extended gains from the previous session in Asian trading on Thursday after a surprise third consecutive weekly U.S. Morris said. However, as the Fed's statement notes, unemployment remains relatively low and inflation continues to fall under its target of 2 percent, where it has mostly remained since the Great Recession.
