Oil prices rise on reported U.S. crude stock draw, firm Japan imports

While WTI rose, US gasoline futures RBc1 fell 4 percent to $1.3646 a gallon on worries that a gasoline glut would return with the full restart of the Colonial line. Crude oil for November delivery are now up $0.87 to $44.92 a barrel. Total volume traded was in line with the 100-day average. Prices dropped 7 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $45.88 on Tuesday. (more...)

It expands on California's landmark 2006 law, which set the goal of reducing greenhouse-gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. Bill Clinton says that out of the hundreds of thousands of donors to the Clinton Foundation over the past 18 years, there must have been some people who gave to the foundation to gain influence with him and his wife. The U.S. central bank's policy-setting committee left its target rate for overnight lending unchanged at the end of its two-day meeting on Wednesday. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) made a decision to "maintain the target range for the federal funds rate at 1/4 to 1/2 per cent" and wait until it sees more evidence of continued progress towards the Committee's goals, the Fed said. The combined entity would now be called Marriott Hotels India Pvt Ltd, while Starwood would cease to exist from here on, said Rajeev Menon, chief operations officer, Asia-Pacific ( excluding Greater China) told reporters here at a press meet. Notes with low serial numbers in the first printing run have become prized collectors' items. Even if you don't have any particularly historic fivers knocking about, you could still make between £100 and £150 for one from 1990. The £5 note in your pocket could be worth more than £200. The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI ended up 98.76 points, or 0.54 percent, at 18,392.46, the S&P 500 .SPX gained 14.06 points, or 0.65 percent, to 2,177.18, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC added 44.34 points, or 0.84 percent, to 5,339.52, a record closing high.
