Deutsche Bank has raised 31.7 billion euros through in three capital increases since the global financial crisis erupted and was among the worst-capitalized lenders in European stress tests earlier this year. If Trump is president, this case will become even more complicated since his ties to Deutsche Bank run deep. There remain two main barriers to the wide-scale introduction of autonomous cars: technological and regulatory. In a 61-page assessment, the BOJ said its "quantitative and qualitative easing", monetary policy, known as QQE, had succeeded in ending deflation, or falling prices. The Dow Jones industrial average gained 49 points, or 0.3 percent, to 18,177. Futures markets are expecting an increase in interest rates in December this year, but they are no expecting a hike tomorrow. (more...)

The push for higher rates in the USA is in stark contrast to the situation in the United Kingdom where the Bank of England last month cut interest rates from 0.5 per cent to a new low of 0.25 per cent following the Brexit vote. The central bank's so-called "dot plot", which it uses to signal its outlook for the path of interest rates, showed that officials expected one quarter-point rate increase this year. (more...)

Shortly after the Fed began raising rates last year-for the first time in over a decade-turmoil in United States markets and uncertainty overseas convinced many officials to delay further rate increases. A tanker filled with more than 700,000 barrels of oil has left Libya for Italy from a port closed for about two years, according to published reports Wednesday. Despite the fighting for control of the terminals, the GNA said on Wednesday it supported the NOC's efforts to boost exports. Japan's trade balance slipped into deficit in August, for the first time in three months, as a stronger yen sapped exports, the Finance Ministry reported Wednesday, Sept. The broader US equity market traded tentatively higher Wednesday after the FOMC decision but caught fire later in the day after Yellen's 2 p.m. The statement stated that the case for a rate hike had strengthened, but the committee chose to wait for further evidence. In the case of crude oil, inventories declined by 6.2 million barrels, compared to expectations for a gain of 3.35 million barrels. crude inventories fell by 7.5 million barrels for the week ended September 16, drawing unexpectedly for a third week in a row.
