In a briefing document , Clinton suggests excessive price rises are "not an isolated problem", claiming that between 2008 and 2015 pharma companies increased the prices of nearly 400 generic drugs by over 1,000%. Texas company to purchase Yates Petroleum in $2.5B deal

Company officials say the transaction will clear the way for the development of premium wells at low costs in the Delaware Basin that spans parts of West Texas and southern New Mexico and the Powder River Basin in Montana and Wyoming. Yates will add an estimated 1,740 net premium drilling locations in the Delaware Basin and Powder River Basin to EOG's growing inventory of premium drilling locations, a 40 percent increase. Encouraging comments from the globes two largest producers could have a very significant implication on crude oil futures. "But when oil output is reduced, other producers would receive the benefit". NASA is inviting the public and the media to celebrate the launch of OSIRIS-Rex sample return mission to an asteroid on Thursday, September 8 at 5:30 P.M. The asteroid releases that heat back into space and it acts like a thruster, changing the direction of the asteroid. OSIRIS-REx will lift off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on top of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 411 rocket. (more...)

The ISM said its non-manufacturing index tumbled to 51.4 in August from 55.5 in July, falling to its lowest level since February of 2010. "Taken together, the manufacturing and services PMIs are pointing to an annualized GDP growth rate of a mere 1%, similar to the subdued pace signaled by the surveys throughout the year to date, suggesting that those looking for a strengthening in the rate of economic growth will be disappointed once again", said Chris Williamson, Markit's chief economist, ... The additional troops, he said, would help put an end to migrant-led attacks on UK-bound lorry drivers. Hanjin's ships and containers are fixtures on Hampton Roads' waterfront. And freight could rise as a result as well, they added.
