The upgrade in growth after the 3.5 percent worldwide contraction in 2020 reflects "expectations of a vaccine-powered strengthening of activity later in the year and additional policy support in a few large economies ", including the United States and Japan , the report said. Lotus executive director for engineering Matt Windle said the team of engineers, designers and technicians working on the new sports cars "are acutely aware of the legacy from the Elise , Exige and Evora". He hinted at a starting price of about 55,000 British pounds (approximately $75,000) and a top-end figure of about 105,000 British pounds. Lotus will discontinue its famous Elise, Exige and Evora models this year as it introduces a brand new sports auto series. (more...)

A former Tesla Inc. software engineer was ordered to appear before a judge to face allegations that three days into his job, he started stealing confidential files and transferring them to a personal storage account. Only about 40 people on Khatilov's team of quality assurance engineers had access to the trade secrets he's accused of stealing, according to Tesla. (more...)
