As Tropical Storm Hermine gains strength in the Gulf of Mexico, the storm is forecast to hit the Florida panhandle as a Category 1 hurricane on Thursday. Coastal areas of Georgia and the Carolinas are expected to receive storm total rainfall of up to 18 mm, with local amounts of 250 mm possible through Saturday morning. (more...)

BNP Paribas Arbitrage SA raised its stake in Campbell Soup by 66.6% in the fourth quarter. Analyst's mean target price for FIVE is 49.36 while analysts mean recommendation is 2.10. NL Industries Inc. Famous Brands says it plans to double the amount of Gourmet Burger Kitchen's in the United Kingdom over the next five years. GBK was founded in 2001 and is the market leading premium burger restaurant chain in the UK. Famous Brands , which bought the Wimpy fast food business in the United Kingdom in 2007, said it would look to launch between 10 and 15 GBK sites here each year, expanding the burger chain further into what is an already ferociously competitive casual dining market. Nissan sales fell 6.5 percent, with drops for both its namesake brand and the Infiniti premium brand. Sales of the Lincoln MKX SUV rose 50 percent last month. Ford's vehicle sales tumbled 25.4 percent, its SUV sales fell 0.8 percent and its truck sales dropped 1.6 percent. Shares of Ford (F) were rising in early-morning trading on Thursday despite the Dearborn, MI-based automaker posting a decline August auto sales this morning. (more...)
