"Our experts say the curve has flattened, and the peak in new cases is behind us". The decision to lift restrictions will ultimately be made by state governors. (more...)

Speaking to The Sunday Mail today, Mr Dick, who is Queensland's State Development Minister, said it was not so much an "ultimatum" to Canberra, but the state could not single-handedly come to the rescue. "Our Australian carriers have a vital role to play in the midst of this current crisis, but border closures and Stage 3 Restrictions have decimated their business, forcing both airlines to ground fleet, stand down staff and virtually cease operations". FCA interim chief executive officer Christopher Woolard wrote to the heads of United Kingdom insurers yesterday and conceded that most basic business interruption policies do not cover pandemics. It comes as a raft of insurance firms are facing legal action after declining payouts for business interruption claims, despite stating that they would cover firms forced to shut due to a notifiable disease. The President, who earlier in the briefing had lauded Americans' stay-at home-discipline, took a different approach with the MI protesters. "Gov.
