Fed launches emergency short-term lending facility amid coronavirus crisis

The facility was opened in coordination with the U.S. Treasury, which will provide $10 billion of credit production via its Exchange Stabilization Fund. Its demise forced the Fed to launch new programmes to shore up both the commercial paper and money market fund sectors. Google was fined $166 million a year ago for over its anti-advertising practices by the French Competition Authority. UAW President Rory Gamble said in an email to members that attempts to shut down production completely for two weeks were unsuccessful as the automakers would not agree to that. He said he just wants GM to do what's best for its employee's health. Fiat Chrysler says it has "already implemented extensive protocols to ensure the health and welfare of our workforce" and that it is "continuing to carefully monitor the situation and are making improvements as needed".
