According to police, Weitzel said he tried to kill his son because he didn't want to be a father any more. He allegedly told investigators, "I was trying to kill my son". A neighbor who called 911 said it looked like Weitzel was "hitting the child.it looked like an elbow". A sheriff who arrived shortly afterward held Isaiah's head to make sure his neck was still. The United States broke off diplomatic relations with Cuba in 1961 and placed an official embargo against the country in 1962. The Cupertino, California-based iPhone maker has previously said it received no special treatment in Ireland and that any revenue generated in the country should be taxed in the USA, where Apple's research and development is based. In a news release, Allegiant CEO Jude Bricker said the airline wants to cater to North Carolina vacationers interested in planning a trip to New Orleans. "We are very excited to add New Orleans to our destinations", said Richard Cloutier, aviation director Concord Regional Airport. The Director of Economic Indicators at the Conference Board Lynn Franco commented: "Consumers' assessment of both current business and labor market conditions was considerably more favorable than last month". In the a year ago, this metric has averaged 90.4. Consumers were fairly optimistic about the economy as summer wound down. Again, the market is now hoping for decent economic readings at this time. It traded well above Friday's session low of 94.246 plumbed before Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen's upbeat comments on the USA economy and Fed Vice Chair Stanley Fischer's remarks that interest rate hikes were possible this year. The comments from Yellen and Fischer dragged Wall Street lower at the close. The dollar index, which measures the currency against a basket of six majors, rose to 95.804.DXY, just shy of Monday's peak of 95.834 which was its highest since August 12. (more...)

Fischer said on CNBC TV that the Fed was still on track to raise rates this year. Brian Wynne, President and CEO of Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, says the new rules focusing on commercial use of drones that weigh less than 55 pounds will have a big impact. All drones must be registered to fly. To comply with prior FAA rules, Virtuance used licensed pilots and followed strict guidelines. Before August 29, 2016, anyone looking to fly drones - not as a hobby - needed to have a private pilot license. (more...)
