YIELDS: The 10-year Treasury yield slipped to 1.92% from 1.93% late Monday. The departure did not come as a surprise. Shares in mining company Freeport-McMoRan climbed 1.1% as the price of gold rose. The former chief executive officer is left with 8.2 million Uber shares after the latest selloff, worth about $250.3 million at a current market price. The winners won €20,000 for each €1 spent on a €20 ticket. The top prize is one of several prizes that the lottery is giving out this year, totaling 2.24 billion euros, or $2.43 billion. The reduction of output could see as much as 2.1 million barrels per day (bpd) taken off the market, or about 2 per cent of global demand. American crude stockpiles fell by 1.7 million barrels last week, according to a Bloomberg survey before Energy Information Administration data on Friday. (more...)

Passengers injured as cruise ships crash into each other

Around six people were reportedly injured in the collision. In a video, Carnival Glory can be seen crashing into the back of Carnival Legend, another cruise. The company ruled out the possibility of the cruise itinerary being affected due to the incident. It said six guests came to the Glory's medical center for evaluation for minor injuries. (more...)

This includes $90 million stock grants based on Alphabet's performance. Tensions between workers and management have intensified lately after internal protests sparked a crackdown. Pichai, who grew up in Chennai and studied engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, holds a Master's degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School. (more...)

The issue stems from a valve in the hydraulic control unit that may get stuck open and affect brake pedal travel. Ford said it is aware of 15 reports of accidents and two injuries related to the issue on the vehicles that were built at its Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico from February 22, 2006 to July 15, 2019. The company behind Haagen-Dazs ice cream and Yoplait yogurt said its sales were flat from a year ago, which was a touch weaker than analysts expected, but it made more in profit from each $1 in sales than Wall Street ...
