Botox maker Allergan Plc is in talks to acquire Shire Plc , competing against Japan's Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd for the London-listed drugmaker, two sources familiar with the matter said on Thursday. Takeda on Thursday confirmed earlier reports that it had made a cash and stock offer of £46.50 a share for Shire. According to the Elon Musk-led company, the probe was closed after the agency found no violations in its operations. Tesla maintains the investigation doesn't necessarily indicate any wrongdoing.
