Gen. Asif Ghafoor told a Pakistani news channel on Wednesday that Pakistan would continue to cooperate with the US but would not "compromise on national interests and prestige". The "previous administrations have tried to exercise what they might call strategic patience or offering inducements like Kerry-Lugar-Berman bill which gave billions of dollars to Pakistan", the official said, adding none of it has worked so far. The move followed a South Korean government crackdown on cryptocurrencies. While amounts are expected to be light, any amount of freezing rain on any untreated area roads could quickly turn them icy. Our warming trend continues through the work week, with 40s, and even 50s on tap for Wednesday and Thursday . (more...)
