The wildfire was initially started by someone using a torch tool to burn weeds near the popular ski resort. The fire that started June 17 has forced the evacuation of 600 homes in Upper Bear Valley, Panguitch Lake, Horse Valley, Beaver Dam, Castle Valley, Blue Springs, Rainbow Meadows, Mammoth Creek, Dry Lakes, Second Left Hand Canyon and Brian Head neighborhoods. Janot's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and the president's office did not respond to a request to elaborate. Refinery crude runs USOICR=ECI also rose 29,000 bpd and utilization rates USOIRU=ECI rose 0.3 percentage point to 94.4 percent of total capacity. The effectiveness of the OPEC-led cuts has been undermined by increasing United States oil production, mostly from shale drillers. (more...)
