Total revenue rose 0.5 percent to US$120.9 billion. It just beat analyst estimates with its second-quarter earnings , sending its stock up almost 3% in early trading. Walmart stock began facing a brisk headwind in 2013 (fiscal 2014), forcing the company to make changes on multiple fronts. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of world currencies, rose modestly from seven-week lows. One month later, Aetna made a decision to pull out of insurance markets in 11 states. Aetna said it has lost money on policies sold on the exchange and is trying to "limit our financial exposure moving forward".
