In the Charleston area, prices on Monday ranged from $1.63 near Sangaree to $2.19 a gallon on the Isle of Palms. The average price in metro Macon was $1.89 per gallon, up from $1.87 last week. AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins said he expects fluctuations in prices to remain. "Provided the next month does not bring a major market-moving event, like a major hurricane or escalating geopolitical tensions overseas, prices are likely to remain at relatively low levels". But this isn't the first time we've heard Phelps say he's leaving his sport, after spending 24 years as its poster child.
