FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's commented on Wednesday that there will be a vote in May on whether to undo some of the key rules surrounding net neutrality. Analysts said they expected crude oil inventories to have fallen by around 1.5 million barrels last week. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures had risen 31 cents, or 0.61 percent, to $50.75 a barrel. USA output, almost 55% of which comes from its seven major shale plays, averaged 9.25 million b/d in the week ended April 14, up almost half a million barrels a day versus the end of 2016, and around 820,000 b/d higher than the recent trough of July 2016, according to the latest EIA ... United Airlines, which on Thursday reached a settlement with the passenger dragged off his flight, said on Thursday that it will not ban overbooking but seek to reduce it. According to the investigation, United Flight 3411 traveling from Chicago to Louisville on April 9 had resolved one overbooking issue before boarding the plane to its capacity of 70 passengers. Reagan, recuperating from a gunshot wound to the chest sustained during an assassination attempt, still delivered remarks by phone. Richard Nixon was the last president to skip the dinner completely.
