It was a police officer who worked for the city who actually removed Dao from the aircraft. The settlement means United will not face the lawsuit that many observers expected. The Delhi High Court today rejected the Reserve Bank of India's objections in the Tata-DoCoMo case, clearing the decks for the Tatas to pay Dollars 1.17 billion to the Japanese telecom major. However, this was not acceptable to DoCoMo and it had opted for arbitration. The RBI contended that the shareholding agreement was illegal and objected to the award of damages. (more...)

A three-judge appellate court panel issued a 2-1 decision Friday upholding the district court's decision. The D.C.
