Analysts had expected inventories to decline by 1 million barrels. EIA reported that the USA commercial crude oil inventories rose 1.1 million barrels to 523.6 million for the week ended August 5. The EIA forecasts 2017 United States output averaging 8.31 million barrels a day in 2017, up from a July estimate of 8.2 million, according to its monthly report released on Tuesday. (more...)

When Verizon bought AOL for $4.4 billion previous year, I predicted that AOL's content brands, including The Huffington Post, TechCrunch and Engadget, would be sold off, simply because Verizon wouldn't have any real use for them.
