No one will be fired in United passenger dragging incident

United Airlines has sparked outrage for the treatment of a passenger, with one of the security officers involved in the incident placed on leave pending an investigation. He noted that the board of United Continental Holdings Inc has supported him. United has announced that it will no longer call on law enforcement to remove passengers from flights unless there are safety concerns. (more...)

The Trump administration hasn't yet said whether it supports the House's controversial border adjustment proposal to replace the 35 percent corporate rate with a 20 percent tax on domestic goods and imports, while exempting exports. The Australian government's move to eliminate the 457 visa category would not have a major impact on visas granted to Indian IT workers, industry body Nasscom said on Wednesday. Applicants will only be allowed to fail the citizenship test three times. Brent for June settlement slipped 26 cents to $55.10 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange, and traded at a $2.20 premium to WTI for the same month. WTI was trading lower on Tuesday at $52.21 a barrel, while Brent slipped to $54.83, as of 10:40 am GMT. Oil price have stabilized Thursday after a steep drop in the prior session, with promises of further cuts from the world's exporters countering fears of growing production coming from the U.S. (more...)
