Christopher's comments on bisexual people and AIDS were then brought up, before he was told: " Big Brother is left with no other option but to remove you from the house". It came only a few days after Biggins, an actor and former children's TV presenter, had caused a minor story for saying to another housemate that "I think the worst type.is the bisexuals". (more...)

For the third quarter, Dean Foods expects adjusted EPS of 32 cents to 40 cents, surrounding the FactSet consensus of 37 cents, and total volume to decline in the low-single-digit percentage range. Sanford C. Bernstein reaffirmed a "buy" rating on shares of Dean Foods in a research report on Thursday, May 12th. The Dow Jones industrial average added 3.76 points, or 0.02 percent, to 18,533.05. Futures showed that US stocks were set for some gains, with Dow and S&P futures up 0.1 percent. Target slid $2.26, or 3 percent, to $72.74. The slight declines followed Monday's announcement of an unscheduled meeting next month by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, fueling speculation of measures to stabilize prices. Manufacturing production added just 0.9% annually during the sixth month of the year, down from the revised down 1.5% hike seen previously. The Office for National Statistics revealed that manufacturing output fell by 0.3 per cent, a step up from a 0.6 per cent contraction in May, but below economists' expectations for a 0.2 per cent drop. US crude futures rose 1.36% to $42.37 in early morning trade, while Brent oil climbed 1.15% to $44.78. ASIA'S DAY: Japan's Nikkei 225 finished 0.7 percent higher at 16,764.97 and South Korea's Kospi climbed 0.6 percent to 2,043.78. USA crude climbed 1.7% to $42.51 a barrel after falling below $40 early last week. OPEC sources have been saying since June that renewed talks about a global output freeze could take place in September, when most members, plus non-members such as Russian ... (more...)

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal. In other words, Vail Resorts will acquire 100 per cent of Whistler Blackcomb's stock. The companies announced the purchase Monday. The massive Whistler resort, which hosted the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, includes 8,000 acres of terrain, 200 trails, 14 alpine bowls, and three glaciers. (more...)

LSU hasn't confirmed that Valentine is back on the team but if he is he could play an important role as a nose tackle in the Tigers' new defensive alignment. The Tigers are switching to a 3-4 defensive scheme this season and he was expected to shift outside to defensive end. Sports minister Solomon Dalung took responsibility for what he called the "unfortunate incident" and said in a statement that he went into the team's dressing room after the Sweden game to apologize to players. Dalung said the upfront payment was to ensure that the players are focused and well-motivated ahead of the knockout stage of the competition. It is unusual for OPEC to gather outside of its regularly set meetings. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 0.3 percent to 22,416.01 while China's Shanghai Composite Index stayed flat at 3,004.48. He also added that crude oil price has made some steady improvements since the slump in Crude Oil production, the shrink in inventories and the supply outages, while global demand for crude increased within the same period. The path of Solar Impulse is shown in this graphic released by organizers of the sun-powered flight project. The plane's batteries were damaged during a flight from Japan to Hawaii. "The solar airplane has now successfully made it full circle around the world, proving that clean technologies can really achieve the impossible". The plane ascended to heights of 28,000 feet by day and descended to 5,000 feet by night to ensure that optimal energy efficiency was met. (more...)

Widespread severe storms are not expected, but some storms could turn severe. Sunrise will be at 6:50 a.m. Sunset will be at 8:04 p.m. Affected counties include Tulsa, Creek and Wagoner. Rain may be heavy at times with gusty south winds throughout the day. The highest coverage of rain will come during the afternoon and evening hours, but we can't rule out late night or morning showers in this pattern as it is a very soupy air mass in place. (more...)

Yields on euro zone bonds such as German bunds also tumbled on Thursday as bond prices rose after the BoE news. A cut in the Bank Rate to 0.25pc means a borrower with a tracker mortgage should see their monthly payment fall by £24.16 on a 25-year, £200,000 loan on a repayment basis, or £41.66 if it's interest only.
