A Barclays research note provided to Apple Insider suggests that the iPhone 8 will offer a True Tone display, the same type of screen found on the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. "If they mean brighter than the Air 2, then that may simply be due to reverting to the unfused display design of the Air 1", the iFixit folks wrote. (more...)

Israel disagrees, citing biblical and historical ties to the land it captured in the 1967 Middle East war, as well as security concerns.The U.N. USA gasoline stocks USOILG=ECI fell 3.7 million barrels in the week ending March 24, compared with expectations for a 1.9-million barrel drop , the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday. The IEA does not expect a major increase in global oil prices despite efforts by OPEC and non-OPEC members to reduce output, its executive director Fatih Birol tells Reuters . (more...)

American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall today applauded Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt for rejecting a petition that would have eliminated the use of chlorpyrifos in agriculture. That order had been prompted by petitions from environmental groups, including Earthjustice, to ban chlorpyrifos. GrainGrowers trade policy manager Cheryl Kalisch-Gordon said China was an extremely important market for Australian grains, with exports valued at more than $2.9bn per year, representing about 23% of the value of grain exports. It is the first free trade agreement China signed with a Western developed country. However, the country has defended its actions saying it is only adding to the region's defense. (more...)

That has forced India's three biggest operators - Bharti, Vodafone and Idea - to slash prices and accept lower profits.
