Reuters reports the firm has over 200 patents related to holographic systems and that its display technology allows for "thin, transparent smart glass lenses that display vibrant, full-color, wide field-of-view images". We know that Tim Cook is a fan of AR and Apple seems to be following the vision that the technology will be the Next Big Thing if done right. Apple's acquisition of Akonia is of little surprise considering the growth of the market. (more...)

The engine inside the auto makes 5.3hp so it's not exactly going to go as fast as the real thing. They produce a combined 4kW of power and 92Nm of torque, and can push the auto beyond 20km/h. With over 339 Technic elements used altogether. Pulling off the stunt required a total of 13,438 man hours, 1,000,000 LEGO Technic parts, and the final weigh-in for the structure was a whopping 1,500 kg. (more...)

But it does support Gigabit Wi-Fi by way of external or discrete modules, and it has preloaded eSIM support for Intel's Gigabit LTE modems. Per Variety , Apple has begun sending out invitations for a press event set to take place on september 12. This iPhone is also expected to only have a single rear camera. The company today unveiled an overhauled version of its Wear OS platform that will bring significant changes to the user experience. Accessing all your notifications in the new user interface is as easy as swiping up. It's no surprise that Google is putting an added emphasis on its AI assistant as well, given that AI assistants are being used all over the place these days. (more...)

As we can see in the rest of the video, the Pixel 3 XL is big, and unless you have really large hands, using this device with one hand for more than a few minutes doesn't look comfortable. (more...)

The use of aluminum instead of stainless steel will also help to keep costs down in this iPhone 8 replacement. If the relatively ancient operating system still holds a special place in your heart, you'll be glad to know that it's available as an app for Mac, Windows and Linux. (more...)
