After a second look at proposals for the "JEDI" cloud computing contract, the Pentagon concluded anew that Microsoft is the preferred choice. And no, it's not over yet: Amazon can continue contesting the contract, and most likely will. Amazon contended in a blog post that the DoD's re-evaluation of bids was a "do-over" to let Microsoft fix a flawed proposal so USA officials could "validate a flawed, biased, and politically corrupted decision". Home Circuit includes an RC auto with an integrated camera that can be controlled with the Nintendo Switch, players wondered how much this new toy would end up costing them, especially since the game seems to work nearly exactly like a proper Mario Kart title. As the search was underway since morning, Patil did not say if drugs were found in Ragini's house though the sleuths scanned all the rooms, kitchen and flower pots kept in the balcony. This technology is low power technology, so it cannot drain the battery or heat the device. Remember OnePlus' electrochromic glass that hides the rear camera when not being used? Landlords can set special Alexa commands that will let their residents pay rent, submit maintenance requests, and manage other things that normally come with the territory of renting an apartment or other dwelling. Renters can link their Amazon accounts to the speaker to access all of Alexa's features. As far as we can tell, there's nothing from stopping landlords from putting a stipulation in the lease that residents have to have Drop In enabled. (more...)

The project analyzes each frame of videos and generates a manipulation score with a percentage indicating the chances of the media having been changed. The tool will look at minute details and imperfections in videos and images by "detecting the blending boundary of the deepfake and subtle fading or greyscale elements" that human eyes can miss out on.
