A statement by the Ministry of Information on Monday said the banned apps include TikTok , UC Browser WeChat and Bigo Live, as well as e-commerce platforms Club Factory and Shein, which are used on mobile and non-mobile devices connected to the internet. (more...)

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 137,224 cases, including 6,671 deaths, in 101 counties in IL. State health officials say a total of 1,521,189 COVID-19 tests have been performed since the start of the pandemic. Of those now hospitalized, 373 were in the ICU and 193 were on ventilators. There were no new positive cases reported in any area county Friday. On average, the region has enough medical/surgical beds to accommodate a 47% surge in COVID-19 cases. (more...)

Google already has features like automatic call screening and spam detection on Android, but what makes Verified Calls different is that businesses need to submit their information to Google to be verified in order to make the cut. Super Nintendo World was originally supposed to open alongside the 2020 Tokyo Olympics though the games have since been delayed till 2021. Universal Studios Japan reopened last week, with guests limited to annual passholders and Kansai residents due to a request from the Japanese government, and has also adopted enhanced sanitation measures. TikTok was already briefly banned in India over child safety concerns previous year, but after the company appealed, its app was allowed to be reinstated in the App Store and Google Play. Indian government today announced the ban of 59 Chinese apps including TikTok and WeChat. Once again, we'll stick to our original recommendation of WhatsApp though, as the most widespread and well known application in this space, as it's nearly certain that the people you want to talk to also use it, ... The United States has more cases than any other country at almost 2.6 million, according to a live tracker of the virus by Johns Hopkins University. Pastor Sedgwick Easley, of Union Baptist Church in Hempstead, says he still feels it's not safe to allow that many people inside the church so he is ignoring the judge's ruling. (more...)
