He felt the junior doctors were in a bind, because if the strikes were carried out with the minimum harm and disruption to patients, as is always promised, they will have little impact. Earlier this month, Ellen McCourt, who chairs the BMA's junior doctors committee (JDC) said the JDC was asking the BMA Council to authorise a "rolling programme of escalated action beginning in early September", adding that by "standing together" they could demand the Health Secretary takes them seriously. And the company agreed to pay the state almost $800,000 - most of which, Healey said, will go toward fighting opioid addiction in MA. Also speaking about September's strike, the General Medical Council's chief executive Niall Dickson said the proposed strikes were "unprecedented" and warned about the impact on patients. The Government did strike a deal with the BMA but the contract was rejected in a referendum by junior doctors in July. Junior doctors have announced further strike dates as the longstanding dispute over a new contract for training medics drawn up by Jeremy Hunt continues. (more...)

Like the other national polls, the Reuters/Ipsos poll also bared Clinton neck and neck with Trump. Here's what Clinton says she would do.
