Toronto city council will ask the Ontario government to temporarily cap commissions charged by food delivery service companies temporarily to help restaurants struggling to survive amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Ontario reported 834 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, including 299 in Toronto, 186 in Peel, 121 in York Region and 76 in Ottawa. All four regions must remain under those restrictions for 28 days. Instead of people developing more antibodies during that period of time, which their immune systems would then use to fight COVID-19, the REACT (Real-time Assessment of Community Transmission) study found that antibodies fell by roughly 26% during the period in question.
