Health Minister Christine Elliott says 335 cases are in Toronto, 162 in Peel Region, 106 in York Region and 72 in Ottawa. The total number of lab-confirmed infections in the province is now 69,331, including deaths and recoveries. The province also reported another 72 new cases of COVID-19 in publicly-funded Ontario schools on Friday, 39 of them among students. There has been a reported 796 school-related cases in just two weeks, with 902 cases reported 14 or more days before that. In Russia, confirmed cases rose above 17,000 for the first time. "People are learning to die with it". The study looked at over 400 patients who were hospitalised due to COVID-19 to find out whether the treatment healed people with moderate disease but it found that "convalescent plasma showed limited effectiveness". The transfusions were of blood taken from COVID-19 patients who survived and included the antibodies their bodies produced to fight off the virus.
