A recent study showed that children under the age of five could have around 100 times more virus in their upper respiratory tracts as adults. Of the 192 pediatric patients seen at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital and Mass General Hospital for Children , 49 were diagnosed with acute infection and another 18 with MIS-C, the multi-inflammatory syndrome linked to the virus. Bethesda Place in Steinbach, the Response Level is CRITICAL as the result of a declared outbreak. Because so many kids with high viral loads show no symptoms, relying on body temperature checks or symptom monitoring won't be enough to keep teachers and other staff safe, Fasano and Yonker said . Health officials believe the person was walking his or her dog in South Lake Tahoe when he or she was bitten by an infected flea , according to a press release from the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency . Humans can catch the plague through flea bites or through contact with the tissue or bodily fluids of an infected animal, the CDC says . The move was announced by the UK's transport secretary Grant Schapps in a tweet on Thursday. The weekly incidence (cases) per 100,000 for Croatia has increased from 10.4 on 12 August to 27.4 on 19 August (164% increase).
