Bollywood actor Aamir Khan took to his social media handles to announce that a few os his staff members have tested Coronavirus positive. Aamir Khan thanked BMC officials for their prompt action and help. I would like to thank the BMC for taking such good care of them, and for fumigating and sterilising the entire society. He had also thanked the medical team at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital for their support. (more...)

More than 1.1 million cases were reported globally last week. The country had driven down the number of infections in recent weeks. This brings the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland to 22,462. Much of Europe is opening its borders to visitors from 1 July, and Irish airline Ryanair are resuming 1000 flights a day on that date, but Dr Holohan yesterday pleaded with people to holiday in Ireland this year. On June 22, Gilead, the California-based pharmaceutical company that makes remdesivir , said it will start testing an inhaled form of its experimental COVID-19 therapy. The trial showed no significant difference between a 5-day course and a 10-day course of remdesivir in those with severe COVID-19 (not requiring mechanical ventilation). (more...)

The state is seeing more and more people in their 20s to 30s getting infected. "Cases linked to Harper's are now at 85 total", the Ingham County Health Department said on its Facebook page Saturday. In several MI counties, employees are pushing for businesses to close again. They are scheduled to present the petition at a meeting on Wednesday. Harper has temporarily been closed down to install new safety features. (more...)

It was the single biggest day increase in the county since June 22. "Today we continue to show a continued downward trend line in positive cases reported", health Director Bruce Robistow said in his afternoon update. The 60112 ZIP code (including Cortland) had 29 cases and 360 tests. Black people make up three percent of the county and nine percent of cases. The County is urging those with symptoms of COVID-19 to call the Screening Hotline to speak with a nurse at 785-323-6400. (more...)

Allamakee County has dropped from 29 to 4 active cases. There are now currently three active COVID-19 cases in Marshall County and six active cases in Bureau County. The individual, whose age was not released, tested positive 14 days ago and had not been hospitalized for the illness. Eight hundred of these people were tested before leaving managed isolation and the remaining 484 were tested after departure from the facility. (more...)

Alberta's chief medical officer of health will provide another COVID-19 update on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. On June 21, at least five Edmonton restaurants made the decision to temporarily close due to COVID-19 cases, including Greta Bar, The Pint and Earls Tin Palace.
