The 26.2-mile race, held annually in November while welcoming thousands of runners from other countries and inside the US, was slated to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Runners registered for the 2020 marathon and others will be invited to participate in a virtual 26.2-mile race from October 17-Nov. 1. Event organizers and the mayor's office said Wednesday it's just too risky to assemble some 50,000 runners in the middle of a pandemic, TMZ reports. (more...)

Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry mentioned that British Columbia is on track to move into Phase 3 of B.C.'s Recovery Plan, which the Premier will have more on later this week. Workers were not allowed to go to work until they had recovered from COVID-19. Today, 32 new cases of COVID-19 were reported over the weekend, including one new case on Vancouver Island. (more...)

Another anti-viral drug for the treatment of COVID-19 has been launched, this time by pharma major Cipla. As per sources, each 100 mg vial is likely to be priced between ₹5,000 and ₹6,000. (more...)
