Last week, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds said the number of cases in the state will continue to rise as more tests are being processed from a backlog. Health officials say that of those 395 deaths, 317 of them came from residents of long term care facilities. (more...)

The province says 1,176 people have died of the disease, while another 11,390 cases have been resolved. The Ministry of Long-Term Care says more than 1,500 healthcare staff have tested positive for COVID-19. Public Health Sudbury and Districts have confirmed 59 cases of the virus to date, including 46 resolutions and two deaths, following the testing of 4,114. (more...)

Additionally, a 33-year-old woman tested positive for COVID-19 and two individuals in contact with her, a 37-year-old man and 44-year-old woman, have all been reported to have the coronavirus. Speaking during his daily media briefing from the capital in Albany, Cuomo said the schools can not be reopened safely before the end of the school year on June 26 due to the complexities involved in such an operation. Among these symptoms are unbearable cold and continuous shivering, muscle pains , headaches and not feeling any taste or smells. Coronavirus is highly infectious and is deadly but most of the people who become infected with the disease show no or very mild symptoms. The New York Times reported that the trial enrolled 1,063 patients who were given remdesivir or a placebo. This comes days after early results from a study of the drug revealed it may help patients recover more quickly. The FDA previously authorized the emergency use of malaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid-19. "We want to make sure nothing gets in the way of these patients getting the medicine, so we made a decision to donate about 1.5 million vials", ... (more...)

Two more people, another friend and Reade's brother, have said she mentioned "a traumatic sexual incident involving Biden". There were 432 tests conducted in the past 24 hours. The department says 317 of those deaths have been residents of assisted living or long-term care facilities. State Officials reported the majority of the most recent cases are in McKinley and San Juan Counties, which saw 37 and 16 new cases respectively. Stearns County is up 96 cases for a total of 531 and no deaths. (more...)

The HMC is now part of the national programme led by Prof Dr Tahir Shamsi to pursue experimental use of convalescent plasma to help treat the critically ill Covid-19 patients. Plasma is a clear liquid which makes up about half of people's blood volume and carries red and white blood cells and platelets around the body. Remdesivir is authorized for the treatment of hospitalised patients with severe Covid-19 disease, it said, adding that the optimal duration of treatment is still being studied in ongoing clinical trials. More than one million of the more than three million infected have already recovered from the coronavirus , according to data from Johns Hopkins University , BBC reported. Of the 59,266 who already died, nearly half of those occurred in NY at 23,144, followed by New Jersey at 6,442, MI 3,567, and MA 3,153. However, the true number of infected patients who have recovered could potentially be millions more because the true size of the pandemic remains a mystery. (more...)
