The presumptive case was listed as "indeterminate" - meaning neither positive nor negative. According to the latest World Health Organization toll, published on Twitter, 2,273 people have died, making it the second deadliest outbreak in the 44-year known history of the disease. Children are hit the hardest, as they make up 30 per cent of all cases, compared to about 20 per cent in previous epidemics. On Monday, Tyson shut a hog slaughterhouse in Columbus Junction, Iowa, for the week after more than 24 cases of COVID-19 emerged involving employees at the facility. The researchers of the said study attempted to infect the animals through viral particles via the nose. However, they did find that cats can infect one another through respiratory transmission. There are no new long-term care facility outbreaks in B.C., Henry reported, noting that a total of 246 long-term care clients and staff have COVID-19 in 20 facilities.
