Quest said it was notified that between August 1, 2018 and March 30, 2019, someone had unauthorized access to the systems of AMCA, a billing collections vendor, according to Wendy Bost, a spokesperson for Quest. LabCorp said it will no longer do business with AMCA. In an emailed statement Monday, AMCA said it was taking steps to increase the security of its systems, including migrating its web payment portal services to a third-party vendor. (more...)

As Oklahoma Watch reports , the Oklahoma State Department of Health confirmed last week that a case of measles has been discovered in Okmulgee County. They begin with a fever, runny nose, cough, red eyes and sore throat, followed by a rash that spreads over the body. Health officials have had such measures available and have been prepared to use them in case of unusual and even exotic outbreaks - like a new flu pandemic or Ebola - "but here we are implementing them for measles", he said.
