Zero new HIV infections occurred in more than 76,000 condomless sex acts among mixed-status gay couples, where one partner is HIV-negative and the other is living with HIV and adhering to their antiretroviral treatment (ART). But genetic tests showed that the transmissions were a result of the HIV-negative men having sexual relations with someone other than their regular partner. (more...)

Rockland County , an area north of New York City along the Hudson River, has registered 215 cases as of May 6. Of the new cases from last week, 52 of those were reported in NY state. Babies between 6 months and 12 months should be vaccinated before global travel or if they live in a community experiencing an outbreak. About one or two out of every 1,000 people who get measles will die from the disease, but the illness has not caused a death in the US since 2015, according to the CDC. (more...)

"What we don't want is for the disease to spread further", Gerstenbluth said. Telepresent Drawings in Space uses graphite to create a drawing that could only have been made in space. The mission, named NS-11, will take 38 payloads above the Kármán line into space. New Shepard will help Blue Origin compete directly with Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic in the suborbital space tourism market. It was the fifth landing for this booster and 11th mission overall for Blue Origin. (more...)

Vaccination against the measles virus is the only safe and effective means of preventing the disease. Dr Mary Ramsay said: "The UK achieved World Health Organization measles elimination status in 2017, however, due to ongoing global measles outbreaks including within Europe, we will continue to see cases, particularly in unimmunised individuals". In December, it sold its trademark Whopper for 1 cent. Now Burger King has introduced a line of "Real Meals". The New Mexico Department of Health shut down a spa in Albuquerque in 2018 which was conducting the facial treatments, and has urged those who had a blood facial to get tested, according to the Albuquerque Journal . The botched treatments have the New Mexico Department of Health urging anyone who got the needle-based treatment between May and September of past year to get tested. (more...)

Louis has gone so well that it will start testing it in additional markets. To do this, Burger King partnered with Impossible Foods, a relatively new fake meat start-up. The Impossible Whopper is meant to " give somebody who wants to eat a burger every day but doesn't necessarily want to eat beef every day, permission to come into the restaurants more frequently", Chris Finazzo, president of Burger King North America, said in a statement . The report's authors identified three stages of the disease in which TDP-43 could be detected: in the amygdala only, the amygdala and hippocampus, and finally the amygdala, hippocampus and middle frontal gyrus.
