The FDA said because the cases were reported voluntarily there may be more cases that have not been reported. E-cigarette users also might be inadvertently or deliberately inhaling more nicotine than normal. The FDA is seeking reports from other nicotine vape users who experienced seizures possibly caused by the nicotine use. The FDA said there also wasn't enough data in numerous reports to identify the brand or sub-brand of e-cigarette that a person had used. (more...)

Most people who get measles have not been vaccinated. Past year the CDC reported 372 total cases and 17 outbreaks, with three areas - New York , New York City, and New Jersey - contributing most of the cases. More than 80 unvaccinated travelers imported the disease back to the USA from Israel, where there is a large ongoing outbreak, the CDC reported. Initial symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, and irritated eyes. (more...)

The virus can live for up to two hours in the air after an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms usually begin seven to 14 days after exposure but can appear up to 21 days later, according to officials. "Measles can be very serious is some people so that's why we really urge people to check their own vaccination status and get protected", explained Jean Reynolds, a RN/Public Health Nurse for Marquette County Health Department. Another judge on Wednesday struck down efforts in Kentucky and Arkansas to place work requirements on some Medicaid enrollees. Rockland County, which is located around 11 miles north of Manhattan, has kept its playgrounds open to children who haven't been vaccinated. One person with measles can spread the disease to 12-18 others if they are unvaccinated. Religious exemptions are not permitted as an exception to the ban. County Executive Ed Day said the unusual decision was taken to try to shift the trajectory of an outbreak that has been going on for too long and is trending in the wrong direction. (more...)

So basically, the same side effects women have to put up with, but I digress.
