Nigeria's last group game is against Equatorial Guinea next Tuesday in Agadir while Libya will be battling with Rwanda also on the same day. The CHAN trophy is the only elusive major trophy for Nigeria in Africa. The Mediterranean Knights began the tournament with a 3-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea in Tangier on Monday. Star Wars: The Last Jedi has had a lot of complaints levelled against it over the past month, and one of the chief complaints that SOME fans have had is that director Rian Johnson did not adequately address some of the lingering questions from The Force Awakens . However, hot yoga was no better for this than doing it at room temperature. The researchers assessed changes in vascular health using a noninvasive method called brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (FMD). The intervention lasted for 12 weeks and participants were asked to attend three Bikram yoga classes per week. In the end, the investigators determined that both Bikram groups achieved similar improvements in their vasodilation levels, regardless of room temperature. (more...)

Sushi-loving man pulls 5-foot tapeworm from body, visits ER later

A man who had eaten sushi went to the hospital after discovering a tapeworm that was "wiggling out" as he sat on the toilet during a trip to the bathroom, it was revealed on Thursday. Whenever inquired as to whether he'll continue eating sushi, Banh said he would, yet just not the salmon. Last year, the Centers for Disease Control put out a study that showed a prevalence of tapeworm in wild salmon caught off the coast of Alaska. (more...)

Liftoff is scheduled for 7:52 p.m. EST (0052 GMT on January 19). The satellite, built by Lockheed Martin, will join other SBIRS satellites to detect and track missile launches around the world. The SBIRS satellites will collect data and relay it to an Air Force command center where it will be used to issue missile warnings and inform decisions related to missile defense systems, as well as improve battle space awareness and technical intelligence. Punjab Power and Irrigation Minister Rana Gurjit Singh , accused by the opposition of illegally bagging sand mining contracts, has submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh , who is yet to act on it. Rana Gurjit had kicked up a controversy in May a year ago after his Nepalese cook Amit Bahadur won a sand mine bid worth Rs 26.51 crore at Saidpur Khurd village in Nawanshahar. (more...)

Some insiders are speculating that the unified women's hockey team may be a way for Kim Jong-Unto divide relations between the South and the U.S. because of the heavy sanctions placed on North Korea in the last few months. North Korea has already agreed to send a 140-strong orchestra to perform in the South during the Olympics, and Wednesday agreed to send 230 people in a "cheering squad" and 30 people in a taekwondo martial arts demonstration group. The study suggests that head injuries can cause blood vessels to leak proteins into adjacent brain tissues, inflaming them. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy is a degenerative brain disease believed to be linked to concussions, a brain injury caused by a forcible blow to the head. (more...)

In December, Georgia added 5,600 new jobs to end the year with an all-time record high of 4.52 million. Rhode Island's rate of unemployed was down half a percentage point from a year earlier, when it was 4.9 percent. About one-half of the yearly decline in claims came in manufacturing . It hit a new historic low of 3 percent in both September and October. Construction employment decreased by 400 jobs from November 2017 to December 2017, a loss of 0.5 percent. (more...)

The not-for-profit drug company initially will be backed by four hospital groups - Intermountain Health, Ascension and two Catholic health systems, Trinity Health and SSM Health - plus the VA health system. Dr. Schulman has studied the generic drug market and is advising the effort. "Hospitals mostly get paid on DRG basis and absorb generic costs, so it would help them, not the patients", said Ronny Gal, a health care analyst with Sanford Bernstein. (more...)

A Siena poll in November put Cuomo's favorability rating at 52 percent. Of course, marijuana-tax revenue could not close that deficit by itself. But, as Cuomo's study will likely find, the case for legalizing marijuana is plenty strong, irrespective of its fiscal benefits. (more...)
