According to him, although the United Kingdom had introduced strong control measures for non-conventional smoking , effective enforcement of the same is vital. Professor Linda Bauld, a Cancer Research UK-funded expert in tobacco policy at the University of Stirling, said that the study simply shows that some teenagers who try an e-cigarette might go on to try tobacco, and on both occasions it could be just once. Kasatka had undergone treatment for the infection for years. The treatment of whales in captivity was brought to global attention with the 2013 documentary Blackfish , which told the story of Tilikum , an orca involved in the deaths of three people. (more...)

Westminster Magistrates' Court heard on Thursday that he would contest extradition. He is the brother of Lukasz Pawel Herba who is being held by Italian police over the alleged kidnap in Milan. A Polish citizen, Lukasz Herba had been living in Britain for some time according to the Italian authorities. As of Wednesday, mosquitoes in 53 of Indiana's 92 counties, including Allen County, have tested positive for West Nile virus and two human cases have been confirmed - one in Hamilton County and one in Lake County. Most people who become infected with West Nile virus do not have any symptoms. There are no vaccines to prevent or medications to treat West Nile Virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (more...)

The death rate for females almost doubled between 1999 (1.1 per 100,000) and 2004 (2.0 per 100,000), but was stable until it increased between 2013 (2.0 per 100,000) and 2015 (2.7 per 100,000). Deaths among "young women, we have known for a long time, happen for different reasons and present differently". However, girls were twice as likely as boys to commit suicide by overdose. (more...)
