In this case, the civilians weren't herded into the building. The deaths represent about a quarter of all civilian deaths associated with US airstrikes since the air campaign began in 2014. Sean Cripe , Davis's father, spoke out as well, sharing that he hoped his son's experience would serve as a lesson for other teens and parents .
