School lunches for elementary school students are now required to have less than 1,230 mg of sodium , a change put in place in 2014. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue traveled to a school in Leesburg, Virginia, to announce that the administration was rolling back some nutrition standards for federally subsidized school meals.
