Additional Beds At Tullamore Hospital To Address Overcrowding

The scene now facing those unfortunate enough to have to attend A&E is one similar to field hospitals around war-torn countries, with sick people staring into chaos as the wait a turn that will come 5 or 6 hours later, if they are lucky. The compromising of care, not to mention the loss of privacy and dignity, can not go unchallenged and must be acknowledged and addressed by health management. (more...)

The HSE said that generally, what is known as the flu season starts in January. "With flu season potentially lasting at least another two months, it's certainly not too late to get a flu vaccination". Like most years, the flu is expected to affect very young and very old people the most severely. - Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing to prevent infecting other people. (more...)

The group has contributed millions of dollars to the Mental Health Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and to UCLA's Operation Mend, which assists veterans trying to recover from physical and psychological wounds of combat. Dippy The Dinosaur Leaves London Museum

Dippy, as the replica dinosaur is affectionately known, measures a whopping 21.3 meters long and 4.25 meters high, and has reigned supreme in the most visible room of the museum, the Hintze Hall, since 1979. The dismantling process would take three weeks. Lorraine Cornish, head of conservation at the museum, said Dippy is expected to fill 12 crates. Dippy would then go on a tour from 2018 until 2020 in eight different locations. (more...)

The City of Grandview confirms multiple explosions happened just after 7 pm Tuesday at JW Lawn Service, near 140th Street and West Outer Road. But Ham, the ATF spokesman, said that would not account for an explosion the size of the one heard Tuesday. The cause of the ignition of the explosion is still being investigated. (more...)

"With your older homes, you're going to potentially have more cracks and holes in your foundation, but it can be across-the-board and it can vary from house to house", Pols said. But the only way to know is to test it. The good news is radon problems can be fixed with mitigation. Radon exposure at any level poses some health risk. (more...)
