An ongoing study also found an association between prenatal marijuana exposure and restricted fetal growth during pregnancy, as well as increased frontal cortical thickness among school-aged children. Scientists at Columbia University say marijuana use among pregnant women is on the rise. Of the 200,510 women analyzed 29.5 percent were 18 to 25 and 70.5 percent were 25 to 44 years with 5.3 percent (10,587) pregnant. (more...)

The lawsuit against the city was filed in September on behalf of the American Beverage Association and the lobby's affiliates within the state and city. Philadelphia Court of Commons Pleas Judge Gary S. Glazer dismissed the lawsuit late this morning. He ruled that the soda tax and the state sales tax are separate forms of taxation, as the beverage tax is levied on the distributor while the sales tax is levied directly on the customer. (more...)

Moonsong then appeared at the Portland BMV office with his horns in place and mentioned he was seeking the assistance of Maine's ACLU, Religion News Service reported. Back in August, Moonsong went to get an ID but was told he would have to remove the horns for his photo. To keep his horns smelling and looking fresh he periodically soaks them in patchouli and cedar oil. (more...)

'Tis the season of giving and what better to give than the gift of life.
