An Iraan cheerleading sponsor is dead after a bus carrying a group of cheerleaders from a playoff game collided into an 18-wheeler on Interstate 20 near Big Spring late last night. One of the victims was treated and discharged. Authorities identified her as Elizabeth Pope, 52. Sources say it's possible the semi-truck swerved to avoid hitting an SUV then hit the bus. (more...)

Some 40 chicken in a farm in Japan's Niigata prefecture were found dead Monday. In the northern prefecture of Aomori , more than 18,000 ducks were culled at a farm after tests indicated the presence of the H5 bird flu strain there. An estimated 27,000 birds in Europe have died in just a few weeks from the flu. Outbreaks in neighbouring countries including the Netherlands , Switzerland and Germany prompted the ministry to impose additional precautions at farms and restrict hunting ... (more...)

After the final reconciliation, the figures were revised to Rs 67,382 crore made by 71,726 declarants, the Central Board of Direct Taxes said in a statement on Sunday. The first tranche, about Rs 1,560 crore, was due on 30 November. Half or Rs 15,160.9 crore is to be accrued in the current fiscal. The bowl game will be held in NRG Stadium in Houston on December 28, and will kick-off at 8 p.m. K-State accepted a formal invitation to play in the game on Sunday. Perhaps enough to win its first bowl game since 2013.
