Within the next 14 years, the death rate caused by cancer is expected to double worldwide. From 2005 to 2015, smoking among adults declined from 20.9 percent, or 45.1 million people, to 15.1 percent, or 36.5 million. The latest early voting numbers released Monday morning show registered Republicans cast 652,380 ballots compared to 645,020 registered Democrats - a 7,360 vote advantage. In October, Democrats led Republicans by about 27,000 voters, their advantage peaked on its highest in the last weekend of the month.
