Working night shifts has little or no effect on a woman's breast cancer risk, says a study. Ruth Travis, the study's lead author, said: "We found that women who had worked night shifts, including long-term night shifts, were not more likely to develop breast cancer , either in the three new United Kingdom studies or when we combined results from all 10 studies that had published relevant data". Lunchables earns Kraft Heinz about $500 million a year in sales and comes in more than 50 varieties, The Register added. The recalled Lunchables were only distributed in California and Utah. The problem was discovered on October 6 when the food enterprise received a consumer complaint. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption, officials say. (more...)

Organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Olympic Summit recommended better governance structures and better funding for WADA. Anti-doping agency heads from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan and Sweden, gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark, adopting proposals which include making WADA more independent and strengthening the sanctions imposed on doping rules violators. Steven Woolfe has been discharged from hospital after an altercation with a fellow Ukip MEP. He was said to be in a serious condition when he was rushed to A&E suffering two "epileptic-like fits". Ukip MEP Jonathan Arnott said it was "obvious to anybody" that Mr Woolfe could no longer be a candidate. Investigations are under way by both UKIP and parliamentary authorities into the incident, which has plunged the already divided party into fresh turmoil. (more...)

Matthew was downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane just before 5 p.m., with the strongest winds of 110 miles per hour off the Florida and Georgia coasts. On Friday, Florida Governor Rick Scott reminded residents that it crisis wasn't over yet. About 600,000 Florida households were without power. Some 2.5 million people were expected to evacuate the state, so it looks like the 2,499,999 other residents just happened to be on the opposite side of the interstate at the time. (more...)

Trump's performance at Monday night's debate was widely panned, and a CNN/ORC poll taken immediately after the event found 62 perecent of voters who turned in to watch said Clinton bettered Trump, whom only 27 percent said had the better night.
