Police cordoned off the roads around the temple - which is one of the largest Sikh temples outside of India. Officers are now inside the temple negotiating with the men. Nobody was injured in the incident. Mixed marriages had been a contentious issue in the local Sikh community. Some comments on Twitter discussing what had happened appeared to suggest it had been prompted by a protest over the commercial use of the venue. (more...)
